MLS: Live Soccer Scores & News App Reviews

Opening day and cant access replays or condensed matches. Paid good money for MLS Live, and cant access on iPad, iPhone or Apple TV. Fix or requesting refund!

Across the iOS and Apple TV 4th generation versions, the app is truly disappointing. No way on iOS to access full versions of replays, just prompted for condensed game versions. Hiding scores is great in theory, but news headlines in app or clicking around to solve problems will undoubtedly reveal the score of games. tvOS version of mls live would not start playback of live games from beginning of game yesterday and now clicking completed games does nothing, click on game and nothing. Blackout rules on app are also annoying for subscribers.

Please mark the Designated Players in the rosters.

Again, the MLS app does very little to make you want to use it. The videos are more limited than the web site and the blackout rules are completely aggravating. The MLB app allows for widespread viewing of games. When will MLS grow up and become a real professional operation?

I actually like the new app feel. They pretended like they did a good job letting me know before hand that "some blackouts" may happen for 48 hours. I figured this would apply to big time games near the playoffs, or home games near me - nope - I was blacked out on all the games I wanted to see opening day and it looks like virtually all upcoming games too. Ridiculous for $80 buck "subscription." Should be MLS AFTER-THE-FACT, not MLS LIVE.

MLS as a whole as a very good, in depth, diverse, and up to date online media presence with news articles, highlights, and more. Their app makes things more accessible and has a good aesthetically pleasing layout. The only downside is that their newest versions seems to be buggy on the matches tab, but they seem to be constantly improving. I also like that the app doesnt constantly bug you for reviews, which made me more inclined to go out of my way to leave a review. Keep it up MLS!

This updated version is terrible! Half the time I cant get the games to play on my phone, so I need to go to my computer, which defeats the whole point of having the app. I also like to go back and watch old games when Im working, but it seems thats not possible with the app (or at least right now--I cant see any games from last week). Since I dont have the time to watch a lot of the games live, I like to keep the scores off so I dont ruin the surprise when I watch the games later. This used to be fine with the old app, but now to attempt to watch the games, it takes you to this new screen with the score right below. Why even bother with the option to turn the scores off then? I love watching these games and I like having the ability to watch them on my own time, but this app is just ruining the experience. Please fix this ASAP!!

Congratulations, your app went from crap to s**t!!! News will not open articles, layout is not horrible. Just fix it!!

Crashes constantly. Scores and standings load incredibly slowly, if ever. This is basic stuff, guys. GYAT

Whats the point of having an option to hide scores? When you tap on a game, the screen shows a huge recap section that either shows the score or tells who won before you can actually start watching it. I rarely know the final score before I start watching. This new version of the app makes that nearly impossible. Do the developers actually use the app? I doubt it.

App cant manage to pull basic score data without dumping everything. No in-app purchase of MLS Live saved me $80, but why? I am here with $$$$ in hand.

Just updated. Latest iOS and iPhone 6. Very slow to change tabs. Freezes. Crappy update.

Great no problems

Whoever redesigned this app needs to be reassigned to a department that requires zero ability. Nice job on the cutting and pasting of logos, but beyond that.... pointless.

Like this new version. I have been using it for a few months. Definitely feels like they shifted focus from a news app to a sports app. While I still use fotmob because it contains information for other leagues to get a high-level view of football for the week, I use the mls app during game times. Love the data driven stats. Would be cool if there was a module that allowed you to create your own queries for currenthistorical match data. Would like it if we could leave a rating for a match as well. An option for a quick rating or and advanced one to get an idea of how people thinks each teams defenseoffense performed, as well as the refs. So in short, the app is not perfect but no app is. Its an improvement over the last one and its good to see them investing in content for their fans. Always room for improvement and it seems like they were listening. Hope my feedback is considered!

I got the new update and now the news doesnt refresh

Scores wont load. When they do, after scrolling the page will jump to the top. Extremely frustrating.

App is buggy and not fluid. Blackouts effect a very large percent of the stream including playoffs. Im usually stuck with the away broadcast and left with no other option. Quality of league and officiating always leaving you wanting. I regret my subscription.

This app says Rimando who is the keeper for RSL is a Forward....? Who is doing the editing? Rimando has never played forward as a position in his career.

Hey MLS, if someone requests to not see scores, why would it make sense to put the score on top of the page you are forced to click on in order to watch the game? Also, why are only condensed games available on Roku while full games are available on iPad (as long as you dont mind having the score ruined for you)? For anyone on the fence, stay away. I will continue to support MLS teams but will never fall for MLS live again.
